  I'm maybe being generous with 3 stars, the menu has good variety, the food is reasonably good (if usually a little cold), service is pleasant enough in the restaurant side but the bar is a complete contrast. One barmaid/waitress in particular (dyed red hair) has a very abrupt attitude, virtually throws your plate on the table, rarely provides cutlery and never checks if everything is okay (I thought doing so was common practice in most places). The radiators look like they've been painted with nicotine and the tables aren't cleared quickly enough, even when the bar is over staffed. I felt more like an inconvenience than a customer. I have tried the place several times, but only due to the fact that I am staying in the hotel next door and working very long hours, meaning that convenience is key!
  If I had the option of scoring the bar and the restaurant separately, I would give 1 star to bar side and 3 1/2 to restaurant.

  The food was excellent. I loved the "old-school" decor. We arrived right at midday so we were the first ones in the restaurant, but by the time we finished the place was full, so it might be a good idea to book a table.
